Hello there :) It's two thirty in the morning and seeing as I still can't fall asleep, I figured I'd blog. For the the first time in a month. I'll admit, I'm not the most committed blogger. But yeah, whatever. I know I should have done this ages ago, but 1) I didn't really have the time, and 2) I could find the right words to sum up the entire concert. I blame this entirely on complete and utter lack of inspiration.
When I woke up to my three alarms at 7.00am, it was not yet bright outside, a bit chilly and I felt great. The only thing I could really feel was the excitement and anxiety. So after I woke up, I showered, got dressed, ate, then left the house. By the time I arrived at the venue, it was around 9.30 am. (keep in mind, the gig itself was gonna be at 6) The minute I got to 1Utama, I instantly got even more hyped.
Posters everywhere. The Humanoid album played on the speakers. It was bliss.
After that, a couple minutes later, I got tackled with the biggest hug ever. I didn't need to look to see who it was. Sushmita Diana. <3. We caught up on everything, then freaked out about how Tokio Hotel was actually here. In Malaysia. I think even at that point it hadn't sunk in properly yet.
After a while, Z baby finally arrives at 10.30 ish, and we need to go pick up the Meet&Greet passes. Then the lady tells us that our passes weren't there and TM had screwed up something. I should probably tell you that we didn't win the passes, Zoe's mum actually bought the TM broadband package so that we'd get the passes. So you can imagine how angry and heartbroken we were when the lady told us we don't have passes.
*cue heartbreak here*
But after some brilliant acting on Z's part, we got the passes. Ecstatic, we went down to the concourse level where the signing session would be. It was an hour before the signing session was supposed to take place and there was already a huge line. It was so much fun in the line itself. Met some awesome people, and halfway through, everyone started singing TH songs. Amazing. Around an hour later, there they were. Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav. Accompanying their arrival were flashes, screams and singing. Later, the line slowly started to move. By the time we got to the front, Me and Zoe were already freaking out.
The signing itself was very very brief. It lasted for barely three minutes. But needless to say, it's one experience that'll probably stay with me for the rest of my life. Shaking their hand, speaking to them, hell just looking at them was enough. That was when it hit us, right after we got off the platform thing where they were sitting, they were really here.
It was around 2 by then, still had a lot more time to kill. We met up with Yaya, Diana, Aisha, and Liz at Chili's. Spent the next few hours talking, catching up and stuff. It was the most fun I've had in ages. Zoe went back home after lunch cause she needed to change her clothes. So after wandering around aimlessly in 1Utama, I got a call from Marina (This girl we met in the line during the signing session. She's lovely) telling me that there was already loads of fans waiting in front of the gate. It was barely four thirty.
So we decided to to go down to the venue and wait as well. After 2 hours of standing in the hot sun (it rained for a while too) the gates finally opened. As everyone raced inside, I got freaked cause we got separated but I'm not gonna go into that. After a while, me and Diana found each other, and stuck together. Pop Shuvit opened, then Bunkface. Both were really good :) Then after that, about an HOUR of crappy DJ music before finally, finally, Gustav comes out. Then a few seconds later; the opening of Noise. I don't know how to describe it without being biased, but for me, it was magical. This was the setlist, they only did eleven songs.
1) Noise
2) Human Connect To Human
3) Pain Of Love
4)World Behind My Wall
5) Hey you
6) Ready, Set, Go!
7) Dogs Unleashed (Bill howled. he actually freaking howled. Can this boy get any sexier?)
8) Automatic
9) Screamin'
10) Forever Now
11) Durch Den Monsun
Those eleven songs made everything we endured completely worth it.
After the gig ended at around 10.30pm, we all found each other. Now, it was time for Meet&Greet. Best part? We were all sweaty, tired and dehydrated. So later, we went in groups, they took us backstage, into this little tent like room, where all the guys were. How the hell could they look so gorgeous? They just finished playing a show for christ sakes. Jeez. Okay but yeah, before we went in, we got briefed on how we were supposed to just go in, say hi, take the picture, and get the hell out. The security staff specifically said "Do. Not. Touch. The. Guys."
Did they honestly think that we would listen? Pfft.
We hugged all of them, wished them all the best, and told them how much we adored their music. All within the space of five minutes. After that, we got out, ecstatic but still wanting more. So what did we do? We went in. Again. No one noticed a thing. We attempted to change the way we looked (which was how Zoe managed to snap my glasses in two). The best part was, when we went in again, Georg looked right at me and went "Hello. Again." I wanted to die. And right before we left, I hugged Georg one last time and he went. "So, are you coming again for the third time?" My face turned red, I swear.
That's the end to one of the best days of my life and I wanna thank a couple people first. Thank you so much, mum and dad for actually letting me go for the concert. I love you! Thanks so much, Aunty Jasmin and Uncle Sharawi for getting me and Z those Meet&Greet passes, Thank you guys so much; Sushmita Diana, Yaya Muhaimi, Aisha Motawh and Liz Nahara for being there and experiencing all of this with me, you guys are amazing, I swear. I love you all so much.
Of course, last but most definitely not least, thank you, my amazing bestfriend, Zoe Asa'ad for putting up with me throughout April when I was freaking out, for helping me write the letter, the sex talk in the middle of the night, freaking out with me, staying up late to talk to me and experiencing that whole crazy month with me. Without you, I probably would have lost my mind somewhere in the middle of April. You're the best.
Yes, you broke my glasses, yes, I still love you.
x
Oh, and I deleted the cbox, but there's a little formspring box on the top left corner of the page. Any questions, don't hesitate to drop 'em in there :)

Hi Bill :D
